Well…Where Are We?
Ah, the usual pitfalls of maintaining a blog. I once again have forgotten to update this website as life has continued to get in the way. Since the last update, I’ve gotten a promotion, had some new family members born into the family, and was (finally) diagnosed with inattentive type ADHD. This diagnosis, as those who know me are well aware, was very welcome. I have spent most of my life struggling with my ability to manage my time, tasks, and day to day activities in a functional, logical way. I thought for over 20 years that my brain running a thousand miles a second with overlapping thoughts and ideas was normal and what everyone experienced. Though I am still dealing with treatment adjustments, I am very happy to be making progress.
That said…What Dreams May Come has unfortunately suffered in the meantime. It has sat on the back burner for a long time, and though I haven’t forgotten it, I have been distant from it for a while. This is both a blessing and a curse, in the sense that I will now view my draft with fresh eyes, but I also have not progressed as I would have liked. I am hopeful to wrap up the next draft before the end of 2025 and to begin the long and daunting process of publishing, whether that be self-publishing or traditional publishing. The jury is still out on that one.
I hope all of you out there are well. Times have been less than kind to all of us across the board. Remember to take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, keep your loved ones close, and take steps away from everything when you must. Take a break from social media and its echo chambers once in a while to stay level.
